High Street Bridge & Cut & Cover for CPB Downer JV
Project Overview

High Street bridge widening and Cut & Cover works on the Warringah Freeway.

DAMCON was awarded the contract for the construction of the High Street bridge widening, the High Street bridge on-ramp, the pier strengthening of the existing High Street bridge, adjacent retaining walls, adjacent road furniture, the design and installation of temporary works to facilitate these works, and the supply of materials.

The widened bridge consists of girders and a deck superstructure on piers, with footings matching existing locations. DAMCON constructed a new on-ramp from the interchange to the Warringah Freeway northbound to ease traffic congestion. The scope also included demolition works on existing abutments, bridges and road barriers, footpaths, and existing retaining walls.
